Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Tamil and Telugu films, in addition to some Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actress for portraying actress Savitri on Mahanati, a Telugu movie Mahanati (2018). She also won an award from the Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy Kumar Suresh is the actor Menaka G. Suresh's daughter. Her first career was an actress for children. After completing her studies in Fashion Design, she was back to acting. She had her first lead performance in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In 2015, Keerthy accepted her first film projects that were not in Malayalam and was signed to participate in a variety of Tamil films simultaneously. Her first film, A. L. Vijay's love story Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015. The film was starring Vikram Prbhu. The film was not an immediate success in the box office. The busy schedule she had throughout the year led her decide to pull out of projects which she had already started making, such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vendam in order to take on bigger projects. The actress was in two films that came out in quick succession, alongside Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also one of the main actors on Prabhu's Thodari. The film has been delayed since 2015, with reports of release after September, 2020 with a brand different title, Janakitho Nunu. In the year 2016 Nenu Sailaja which starred Ram Pothineni, was her debut. Keerthy was first seen in Bairavaa alongside Vijay and directed by Bharathan.
